Job summary

AutoCanada Inc. is seeking a Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Analyst in Edmonton with a hybrid schedule and remote options for Toronto. The role focuses on budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting to support regional and company-wide decision making.

You’ll analyze financial performance, prepare materials for the executive team, and identify cost optimization opportunities while collaborating with cross-functional partners. Immediate hire for a data-driven finance professional.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Accounting, Economics, Finance, or related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in finance, accounting, or related analytical field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint in a SharePoint environment.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
• Ability to work with various large datasets and translate data into actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Support financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for timely delivery to the Executive team and stakeholders.
• Monitor, analyze, and report on the company’s financial performance against KPIs and budget.
• Evaluate capital investment decisions and synthesize findings into recommendations.
• Contribute to performance analysis and preparation of board materials.
• Identify process and cost optimization opportunities across the business.
• Assist with ad hoc reporting, analysis, and cross-functional projects.

Your area of focus

Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) acts as a financial advisor and trusted business partner to actively support decision‑making throughout AutoCanada. The FP&A Analyst will play a pivotal role in financial analysis, business planning, and internal reporting. We are looking for a curious, hard‑working, and driven problem‑solver with a ‘let’s‑get‑it‑done’ attitude, eager to develop alongside our growing FP&A team.

What drives your day‑to‑day?

• Support financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to ensure timely delivery to Executive team and stakeholders

• Utilize financial knowledge and business acumen to evaluate capital investment decisions, and synthesize findings into cohesive recommendations

What Are The Must Haves…
