Job summary

Caddie Intelligence is building software for analytical testing laboratories and other regulated industries. You will own end-to-end frontend work, crafting fast, data-heavy interfaces with TypeScript and React, while integrating Python-backed endpoints and AWS services.

The role emphasizes rigorous AI tooling usage and proactive design thinking. The remote-friendly position is rooted in Toronto, offering direct access to founders and a chance to influence the whole product and company

• Backend ability to ship an endpoint yourself.

Responsibilities

• Build the review surface using TypeScript, React, SVG and Canvas.
• Implement interactive features with pointer events and animation.
• Develop platform screens: configuration, queues, audit trail, admin.
• Maintain plumbing: Vite, tests with Playwright, CI to block regressions.

WHAT WE'RE BUILDING

Something meaningful, in an industry that quietly touches billions of lives and almost nobody thinks about. The work inside it is slow, manual and consequential and the decisions being made every day deserve to be faster, more consistent, and easier to stand behind.

THE ROLE — you will build it end to end:

• The review surface — TypeScript, React, SVG and Canvas over tens of thousands of data points
• Interaction — pointer events, drag, requestAnimationFrame, state that never disagrees with what is drawn
• The platform screens — configuration, review queues, audit trail, admin
• The plumbing — Vite, component and end-to-end tests in Playwright, CI that blocks regressions

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• Strong TypeScript and React, and an eye for how something should look and feel
• You have built a data-heavy interface that stays fast — not a CRUD app with a chart library dropped in
• Enough backend ability to ship an endpoint yourself — Python, Postgres, an AWS service or two. Nobody is handing you a finished API
• You use AI tooling hard, and you are ruthless about reviewing what it writes (Cursor, ClaudeCode, Codex, etc..)

WHO YOU ARE — critical thinker who pushes back proactive, nobody is going to hand you a ticket wants ownership of the schema, the screen and the alarm that wakes you up fast without being sloppy ability to handle adversity
