Caddie is building software for analytical testing laboratories and other regulated industries. You will own an end-to-end data platform including the pipeline, records, application surface and governance.

The role is remote, preferably in Toronto, and full-time. We value engineers who move fast, ship quality code, and own the schema, alarms, and operational reliability, using modern AWS, Terraform or CDK, and frontend tech to deliver measurable impact.

Formación

• Strong Python and SQL well past CRUD.
• AWS deep enough to design it, not follow a tutorial.
• Enough front-end ability to own the product surface.
• You use AI tooling hard, and you are ruthless about reviewing what it writes.

Responsabilidades

• Own the end-to-end pipeline stack (S3, SQS, ECS Fargate).
• Shape the data layer with hash-chained audit events and KMS controls.
• Build the application surface using TypeScript, React for large datasets.
• Design the self-serve layer with immutable versioning and approvals.
• Implement Terraform or CDK tooling and CI that blocks regressions.

WHAT WE'RE BUILDING

THE ROLE you will build it end to end:

• The pipeline — S3, SQS, ECS Fargate, containerised Python workers
• The record — S3 Object Lock, hash-chained audit events, KMS
• The application — TypeScript, React, interactive charts over very large datasets
• The self-serve layer — schema design, immutable versioning, approval workflows
• The plumbing — Terraform or CDK, CI that blocks regressions, monitoring

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• Strong Python, and SQL well past CRUD
• AWS deep enough to design it, not follow a tutorial
• Enough front-end ability to own the product surface, not hand it off
• You use AI tooling hard, and you are ruthless about reviewing what it writes (Cursor, ClaudeCode, Codex, etc..)
