Saskatchewan Foster Families Association (SFFA) is seeking a compassionate Childcare Worker to support children in foster homes across the province. The role combines childcare, light housekeeping, and transportation assistance for family visits and outings.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in childcare or early childhood development.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• A commitment to a healthy, active lifestyle and the well-being of children and families.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to provide a recent Criminal Records Check.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, high-quality childcare in a supportive and nurturing environment.
• Assist with light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and organized home.
• Coordinate and facilitate transportation for family visits, outings, and appointments.
• Offer emotional and practical support to children and youth, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development.
• Maintain effective communication with team members, foster families, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Adhere to confidentiality and professional boundaries while interacting with children, families, and colleagues.
