Job summary

Saskatchewan Foster Families Association Inc is seeking a compassionate Childcare Worker in Regina. This part-time position offers up to 30 hours weekly with split shifts (7am–10am and 4pm–7pm) to support children in foster homes, perform light housekeeping, and assist with transportation for family visits.

Applicants should have childcare experience, be at least 18, hold a valid driver’s license, and be able to pass a Criminal Records Check.

Qualifications

  • Previous childcare or early childhood development experience.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Commitment to healthy, active lifestyle and wellbeing of children and families.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with children, families and team members.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a recent Criminal Records Check.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, high-quality childcare in a nurturing environment.
  • Assist with light housekeeping to maintain a clean home.
  • Coordinate and facilitate transportation for family visits and outings.
  • Offer emotional and practical support to children and youth, ensuring safety and wellbeing.
  • Maintain effective communication with team members, foster families and stakeholders.
  • Adhere to confidentiality and professional boundaries with children, families and colleagues.
