Job summary

The Saskatchewan Foster Families Association Inc is seeking a reliable Domestic Support Worker to assist with housekeeping and organization in a home.

The role is part-time (15-25 hrs/week) with potential for additional hours, focusing on deep cleaning, kitchen sanitation, laundry, and documentation of tasks performed. Candidates should be 18+, have a valid driver’s license, and be able to work independently in a respectful, supportive home environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Criminal Record Check (inclusive of Vulnerable Sector Check).
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures and practices.
• Ability to read and follow instructions.
• Understanding of safety practices when using cleaning agents.
• Previous job experience in house cleaning, commercial property cleaning, or hotel cleaning is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors throughout the home.
• Manage kitchen duties, including sanitizing countertops, cupboards, tables, and chairs, and organizing within cupboards, pantry, and refrigerator.
• Clean and maintain kitchen appliances, such as cooking ranges, dishwashers, and microwaves.
• Empty waste bins and garbage cans.
• Dust living areas, including window blinds and interior windows.
• Sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, tubs, showers, mirrors, and sinks.
• Sanitize common surfaces throughout the home, including door handles, baseboards, and walls.
• Wash, fold, and put away laundry.
• Accurately document tasks completed.
