Job summary

PERI Canada is seeking a Designer in Bolton, Ontario to develop safe and cost‑effective formwork, shoring, and scaffolding solutions based on customer requirements and project specifications. You will prepare detailed design drawings and material take‑offs for standard projects and, with experience, support custom designs under supervision.

On a typical day you will produce 2D/3D drawings, collaborate with PERI Technical Sales Consultants, communicate with customers to clarify requirements, and

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or diploma in Civil Engineering Technology.

Responsibilities

• Develop formwork, shoring, and scaffolding solutions for a variety of construction projects.
• Produce general arrangement, assembly, and steel fabrication drawings in 2D and 3D.
• Collaborate with PERI Technical Sales Consultants to deliver cost-effective and practical solutions.
• Communicate directly with customers to clarify requirements and design expectations.
• Work with internal and external engineers to ensure CSA/OHSA and building codes compliance.
• Perform and document design calculations using PERI’s structural analysis tools.
• Prepare accurate material lists and verify lists prepared by others.
• Maintain engineering documentation per the Quality Management System and PPMP.
• Mentor and assist Engineering Interns, Draftspeople, and junior Designers.
• Conduct jobsite visits and provide technical support as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
