Job summary

PERI GmbH Formwork Scaffolding Engineering in Canada is seeking a Designer to develop safe, cost-effective formwork, shoring, and scaffolding solutions based on project requirements. You will prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings and perform design calculations under supervision.

You will collaborate with technical sales and engineers, interact with customers to clarify expectations, and ensure compliance with CSA, OHSA, and building codes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 0–3+ years of structural engineering or construction experience.
• Experience with structural analysis software is an asset.
• Knowledge of formwork or scaffolding design preferred.
• Familiarity with CSA/OHSA and building codes is an asset.
• Bilingual English/French is an asset.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Develop formwork, shoring, and scaffolding solutions for construction projects.
• Produce general arrangement, assembly, and steel fabrication drawings in 2D/3D.
• Collaborate with PERI Technical Sales Consultants on cost-effective solutions.
• Communicate with customers to clarify requirements and design expectations.
• Work with engineers to ensure compliance with CSA, OHSA, and codes.
• Perform and document design calculations using PERI tools.
• Prepare accurate material lists and verify lists prepared by others.
