Job summary

Marwood Ltd. is hiring a Forklift Operator for our treating plant in Brookfield, NS. You will operate a 12,000 lb. CAT forklift to move lumber, support daily treating plant operations, and perform housekeeping and general labour duties.

Possible shift work

• Days (Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–4:30 pm)
• Nights (Monday–Friday, 4:30 pm–1:00 am)

Responsibilities & Requirements

This is a hands‑on role in a fast‑paced treating plant environment. You will operate a 12,000 lb. CAT forklift to move lumber, support daily treating plant operations, and carry out housekeeping and other general labour tasks as required. Responsibilities include:

• Loading wrapping chains with lumber to be wrapped.
• Loading cylinder carts with lumber to be treated.
• Operating a forklift safely and efficiently in a busy industrial environment.
• Assisting with other treating plant duties as assigned.
• Performing general labour and material‑handling duties as required.

You must be able to reliably commute, work day or night shifts, and communicate in English. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety‑conscious, punctual, and a team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic. Forklift certification is preferred; candidates with at least 2 years of forklift operating experience will also be considered.
