Job summary

Serta Simmons Bedding, LLC is hiring for a hands‑on Material Handler slot to receive inbound materials, operate a stand‑up Crown forklift and order picker, and ensure materials are accurately logged and available for production.

The position emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork in a fast-paced plant setting. Candidates should be able to read English work instructions, perform daily logs, and maintain organized records. Full‑time hours with potential overtime are offered along with benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a stand-up Crown forklift and order picker.
• Ability to pass forklift driving evaluation.
• Able to read work instructions, loading schedules, and production tickets in English.
• Basic computer skills for entering receipts and daily logs.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and hand‑eye coordination.
• Clear, respectful communication and teamwork.
• Safety-first mindset and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Preferred: experience in manufacturing and/or pneumatic tools.

Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload trucks and move materials using forklifts.
• Verify incoming materials against purchase orders and enter receipts into computer systems.
• Organize and stock raw materials to support plant operations.
• Perform daily forklift safety and maintenance checks and report concerns.
• Follow safety, quality, and efficiency procedures at all times.
• Maintain a clean, orderly work area and prep equipment for the next shift.
• Support continuous improvement and collaborate with coworkers and leadership.
