Job summary

Linamar Corporation is seeking a Material Handler in Ontario to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment, moving, loading and unloading materials and productions safely and efficiently.

You will coordinate with production teams, ensure proper storage and maintain accurate shipping/receiving records while adhering to OSHA safety standards. A high school diploma and a valid forklift certificate are required, with 1–2 years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 1-2 years experience operating counterbalance forklifts in manufacturing.
• Valid forklift certificate must be current.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts to move materials, products and equipment throughout the manufacturing facility
• Load and unload trucks, trailers, and storage areas, ensuing that materials are handled with care
• Transport raw materials and packing to production lines and finishes goods to designated storage or shipping areas
• Empty scrap metal bins as required
• Ensure materials are properly stacked, secured and stored to prevent damage or accidents
• Entering shipping and receiving information into applicable computer software and programs as required
• Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations and other safety standards
