Job summary

The Ippolito Group of Companies is seeking a Production Forklift Operator to keep distribution moving smoothly. You will load/unload trailers, verify codes, and pick orders while maintaining product rotation.

You will perform pre-shift safety checks, report hazards, and follow food safety procedures. This on-site, non-union role offers a continental day shift with stable hours and a competitive hourly wage.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (required).
• Forklift and pallet truck experience with current certification (required).
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Experience in the food industry (asset).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trailers as assigned by the Distribution Supervisor or Warehouse Manager.
• Sort and scan freight accurately.
• Verify product codes and IDs, ensuring correct labeling and rotation of product.
• Pick orders as assigned while maintaining proper product rotation.
• Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklift and pallet truck equipment, reporting any hazards immediately.
• Communicate shipment discrepancies or errors promptly to supervisors or managers.
• Follow all safety, food safety, and sanitation procedures while ensuring PPE is always worn.
• Support production and warehouse teams as needed with miscellaneous tasks.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

WORKING CONDITIONS

This role is performed in a production and warehouse environment with a continental dayshift schedule. The work involves physical activity including lifting, standing, and operating forklift equipment safely in a busy environment.
