Job summary

Westlake Chemical seeks a forklift operator to ensure safe and efficient operation in the Warehouse area on the afternoon shift (2PM to 10PM) at our Vaughan site in Ontario. The role requires pre-shift inspections, safe operation of equipment, and collaboration with the Warehouse team.

Responsibilities include reporting malfunctions, maintaining material quality, proper storage, inventory accuracy, and adherence to Health and Safety policies.

Qualifications

• Must have completed Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Forklift certification acquired through Company sponsored training program.

Responsibilities

• Perform a pre-shift inspection of the forklift.
• Complete pre-shift Daily Inspection form and hand-in at the start of shift.
• Operate equipment following all safety procedures.
• Report any equipment malfunctions to Lead hand or Warehouse Supervisor.
• Monitor quality of material and product being handled and report deficiencies to Lead Hand or Warehouse Supervisor.
• Ensure material is stored in designated storage areas and ensure accuracy of material supplied to Production line.
• Maintain housekeeping around assigned work area and participate in safety meetings.
