Job summary

Emterra Group is seeking an Equipment Operator in Victoria to safely run forklifts at the recycling plant and to move bins and bales, assist with shipping/receiving, and document daily inspections. You report to the Plant Manager and work in varying weather conditions.

The ideal candidate is forklift-certified, has strong English communication, and a customer-service mindset. Waste/recycling experience is a plus; Emterra offers competitive wages and benefits.

Qualifications

• Certified and trained to operate a Forklift.
• Experience in the waste and recycling industry is an asset.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Able to perform the physical requirements of the position.
• Ability to speak, read and write in English.
• Must be available for overtime work.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts at the recycling plant as directed by Supervisors. This role supports daily operations by moving bins and bales, assisting with shipping and receiving, and completing required equipment inspections and documentation. Duties are performed in a noisy environment and in all types of weather conditions. This position reports to the Plant Manager.
