DHL Supply Chain in Canada is seeking a 3rd Shift Forklift Operator - Back up Group Lead. The role involves heavy forklift operation, case-picking, and inventory checks in a full-time setting.

Qualifications

• Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment
• High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred
• Six months warehouse experience, preferred
• Six months forklift operation experience

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift, clamp truck, or power equipment for moving and stocking products (80% of shift)
• Pull and prepare product for shipment with exact counts
• Maintain inventory records for accuracy
• Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards
• Verify load accuracy, count, stability, and damage; report variances
• Change equipment batteries or LP tanks and monitor power source
• Maintain neat, clean, and orderly facilities and assist in inventories

The core responsibilities of this role include: Case-picking by hand up to 50 lbs. approx. 80% of the day; operating MHE including Dock stocker and Reach Truck approx. 20%.

Shift: 11:00pm –; 07:00am Sunday-Friday

Pay: $23.25 per hour +1.25 Shift Premium per hour.

Role Purpose:

Responsible for operating powered equipment for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting product. Responsible for checking all inbound and outbound products. Ensures products are free of damage and infestation, product code dates are properly recorded and products match customer requirements.

Key Accountabilities:

• Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using a forklift, clamp truck, or other power equipment 80% of specified shift.
• Pull and prepare product for shipment ensuring the exact number and types of product is loaded.
• Keep appropriate records and reports for inventory accuracy.
• Comply with all OSHA and MSDS standards.
• Verify load accuracy; check the load count, stability, and product damage, report variances as necessary.
• Change equipment battery or LP tank and monitor power source as necessary.
• Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
• Assist in physical inventories.
• Complete daily inspection of equipment.

Required Education and Experience:

• Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment
• High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred
• Six months warehouse experience, preferred
• Six months forklift operation experience
