Job summary

Nortera Foods Inc. in Strathroy is seeking a warehouse associate to organize and document inventory, operate forklifts and RF inventory systems, and support packaging lines in a cold storage environment.

You will join a team focused on safety, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement, with a starting wage of $24.10 per hour and a benefits program including EFAP. The role requires physical stamina and shift flexibility.

Qualifications

• OSSD or equivalent is required.
• Lift truck license with 1-2 years experience.
• Ability to meet physical demands of working in a cold environment.

Responsibilities

• Organize and document inventory with equipment including forklifts, pallets, cranes, computer software.
• Maintains safe and clean work environment to mitigate hazards and maintain food safety.
• Work as a team with the operations department to service the packaging lines, deliver bulk product, packaging, and store case product in the freezer; ensure adequate boxes and poly supply line for production and restock as needed to support.
• Share and implement ideas for continuous improvement as part of lean manufacturing initiatives.

Starting rate: $24.10/hour

Your daily role:

• Organize and document inventory efficiently using the appropriate equipment including but not limited to forklifts, pallets, cranes, computer software
• Maintainsafe and cleanwork environment to mitigate hazards and maintain food safety
• Work as a team with the operations departmentto service the packaging lines-deliver bulk product, packaging, and store case product in the freezer; ensure adequate boxes and poly supply line for production-restock as needed to support
• Share and implement ideas for continuous improvement as part of lean manufacturing initiatives

Your profile:

• OSSD or equivalent
• Lift truck license with 1-2 years of experience with an RF inventory system
• Abilityto meet physical demands of working in the cold, material handling, working at heights, climbing stairs
• Ability to work shift work
• Ability to navigate changing priorities while maintaininga positive team environment
