• Minimum of one (1) year of experience operating an outdoor forklift.
• Manual dexterity to operate the forklift and lift over 25 kgs.
• Good knowledge of safe working procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to load, unload, move, and stage lumber and building materials throughout the yard and warehouse.
• Pull and prepare customer orders accurately according to pick tickets and shipping documents.
• Load customer and delivery vehicles while ensuring materials are secure and undamaged.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly.
• Maintain organized inventory storage areas and assist with stock rotation and inventory counts.
• Follow all workplace safety procedures, traffic patterns, and material handling guidelines.
• Assist customers and coworkers with locating products and providing general yard support.
• Keep the yard clean, organized, and free of hazards to ensure a safe working environment.
• Work in outdoor conditions year-round while handling heavy and oversized materials.
• Support shipping, receiving, and general lumber yard operations as required.

• Fluent in English (spoken and written) with excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic functional math skills with the ability to add, subtract, multiply or divide without the function of a calculator.
• Experience and knowledge in this or a related industry is an asset.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Exposure to dust, dirt and extreme changes in temperature and weather.
• Moderate exposure to personal risk; safety boots are required.
