Job summary

Fuze HR Solutions seeks an experienced Shipper & Receiver/Forklift Operator to join our operations team in Delta. You will perform material handling, loading/unloading, and packaging while operating counterbalance forklifts with clamp attachments.

You will ensure safety, maintain inventory accuracy, complete paperwork, and adhere to food safety and workplace regulations. The role requires 1 year of forklift experience, proficiency with counterbalance and clamp trucks, and ability to lift up to

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of forklift experience.
• Experience driving counterbalance, propane and electric clamp trucks.
• Knowledge of Automated Shipping Systems / RF Technology.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily pre-shift inspections of lifting equipment and report hazards.
• Load, unload, and move products using forklifts and material handling equipment.
• Ensure inventory accuracy and proper labeling within storage areas.
• Complete relevant paperwork and shipping documentation.
• Follow safety procedures and use PPE at all times.

Job description

Shipping & Receiving – Forklift CLAMP Operator

We have an opportunity for an experienced Shipper & Receiver/Forklift to join the operations team. The Shipper & Receiver/Forklift Operator is responsible for performing material handling, clean-up, and packaging and other elemental activities related to Warehouse & Distribution requirements. They operate forklifts, Counterbalance with Clamp, and other machinery to move items, and materials on and off trucks and loading docks. Keep inventory, loading areas, and machinery clean. Open containers, sort, and catalog materials. Adheres and complies with all workplace and food safety regulations.

Functions & Responsibilities:

1. Perform daily pre-shift inspections of assigned lifting equipment and report any hazards
2. Follow all applicable occupational health and safety and food safety procedures
3. Ensure proper protective equipment (PPE) is always worn while working
4. Operates warehouse material handling equipment in a safe manner
5. Load, unload containers or trucks and move products and materials by hand or using counterbalance forklift, or basic material handling equipment
6. Move product onto and off moving trucks, stages finished product, completes relevant paperwork
7. Contributes to the orderly operation of stock and or material storage area
8. Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory, and reporting shortages
9. Locates materials/supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders
10. Communicate shipment discrepancies to Supply Chain and Production Department upon detection
11. Performs material handling activities such as counting, weighing, sorting, packing and unpacking, order picking and ensure proper product in rotation
12. Verifies pallets being delivered are using correct Pallet ID, Lot and Item Code and communicating unforeseen changes due to customer requests
13. May perform other activities, such as opening containers and crates, filling warehouse orders, assisting in taking inventory and weighing and checking materials
14. Attends all Food and Health & Safety training

What you bring:

1. Minimum of 1 years of current Forklift
2. Experience driving counterbalance, Propane & Electric Clamp trucks
3. Knowledge of Automated Shipping Systems / RF Technology
4. Strong communication skills including the ability to work independently or within a team environment
5. Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting – up to 35lbs
