Metro Supply Chain is seeking a Material Handler in Delta, BC to support warehouse operations. You will perform a variety of tasks using RF scanners and material handling equipment to ensure accurate, on-time orders for customers.

The role requires at least 1 year of warehouse experience with equipment like clamp trucks, a safety mindset, and the ability to work independently or in a team. We offer benefits and growth opportunities within a growing company.

Qualifications

• 1+ year warehouse experience operating material handling equipment (RF scanning would be a plus).
• Clamp-truck experience and safe operation certification preferred.
• Ability to follow procedures and maintain accuracy in order fulfillment.

Responsibilities

• Operate Material Handling Equipment and move material through the facility.
• Build pallets and prepare shipments for customer orders.
• Read & scan labels to locate products and move to correct locations.

Summary

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Material Handler is responsible for a variety of warehouse tasks using an RF and various material handling equipment. Follows best practice processes to ensure we are efficient, accurate, and provide quality and on-time orders for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Operate Material Handling Equipment and move material through the facility as required.
• Work in a fast-paced environment building pallets with products to be shipped to fill customer orders.
• Moving product to correct locations by reading & scanning labels.
• Ensure tasks get done on time and accurately.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team focused environment.
• Provide materials to the picking line by physically moving them from stock points along the line, off trailers, and from other storage areas.
• Actively communicate with supervisors and colleagues to effectively handle material and notify them of problems/concerns.
• Stack product in designated areas. Clean up and dispose of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping and place in proper containers or designated areas.
• Demonstrate respect for the organization’s values daily, while maintaining and upholding company policies & procedures
• Other duties as required.

Experience

• At least 1-year warehouse experience operating material handling equipment, specifically a clamp truck.
• 1 year or more of operator experience and certification with proven track record for safety.
