This is a field-based forestry technician role supporting powerline inspections, vegetation management, and road access plans for utility projects in BC. Powerline related inspections are a major part of the role, and training will be provided. You will carry out assessments, support prescriptions, supervise contractor activities, and complete associated quality assurance checks. The role involves independent fieldwork in remote locations with varied terrain, and office work to prepare records and reports. Work takes place across British Columbia and requires regular travel and overnight stays in hotels. Flexibility with work locations and schedules is required to meet project needs. The focus is practical forestry fieldwork and operational oversight rather than engineering design.
This role offers forestry workers an opportunity to diversify their experience and broaden their knowledge across sectors, applying practical forestry skills to utilities and infrastructure projects.
We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
