Job summary

Impact Recruitment is seeking a Lead Hand Electrician in Burnaby to join a well-established electrical contractor serving the Lower Mainland. This hands-on leadership role bridges foreman and crew, while you stay active in the trade and help keep projects on track.

The successful candidate will have a Red Seal Journeyman ticket, leadership experience with small crews, and a track record of delivering high-quality work on residential condo new builds. Valid license and reliable transport required.

Qualifications

  • Red Seal Journeyman ticket is required.
  • Experience leading a small crew with pace, quality and safety.
  • Confident in reading drawings and coordinating tasks.
  • Experience on residential condo new build projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a crew on active sites while remaining hands-on (install, troubleshoot, complete daily work).
  • Coordinate day-to-day execution: manpower, sequencing, material needs, and short-interval planning.
  • Maintain productivity and quality standards; coach apprentices and junior electricians.
  • Communicate field progress, constraints, and site needs to leadership.
  • Support safety compliance, site documentation, and best-practice execution.

About The Opportunity
  • We’re hiring aLead Hand Electricianto step into a key working-leadership role, supporting crews in the field while staying hands-on with the tools.
  • You’ll be the go-to on site for pace, quality, and coordination—bridging the gap between the foreman and the crew.
  • Ideal for a strong journeymanwho’s already leading informally (or has led small crews) and wants a clear “next step” with pay that matches the responsibility.
About the Position

The Requirements
  • Red Seal Journeyman ticket
  • Proven ability to lead a small crew and keep work moving (pace + quality + safety).
  • Confident reading drawings, coordinating tasks, and solving problems in real time.
  • Experience working on residential condo new build projects
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (Lower Mainland travel as needed).
Compensation
  • $40–$50/hour depending on experience

  • 2-3 weeks vacation
