Team Horizon is seeking a Landscape Maintenance Foreman for a seasonal role to lead a field crew outdoors, directing daily tasks and ensuring quality across landscapes.

You will work closely with the Maintenance Field Manager, guide your crew, manage safety practices, operate equipment, and handle routine paperwork while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years in landscaping or equivalent education.
  • Experience leading or supervising a crew.
  • Comfortable with physically demanding outdoor work.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
  • Experience operating landscape equipment.
  • Basic mechanical and plant knowledge.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and delegate daily work to keep jobs on track.
  • Lead, coach, and support your crew’s performance and development.
  • Troubleshoot challenges, manage incidents, and support conflict resolution.
  • Inspect, maintain, and perform minor repairs on equipment.
  • Operate a truck and trailer safely and professionally.
  • Represent Team Horizon with professionalism and excellent customer service.
  • Champion safety through toolbox talks and proper PPE use.
  • Complete daily and weekly paperwork including inspections, reports, and timecards.

Landscape Maintenance Foreman (Seasonal)

Are you passionate about working outdoors and leading a hardworking, collaborative crew? At Team Horizon , our Landscape Maintenance teams take pride in creating and caring for landscapes our clients love. We’re a supportive group of professionals who bring energy, skill, and attention to detail to every property.

This seasonal leadership role typically runs from March/April through October or November and we are looking to round out our crew through the end of this season with the ability to look forward afterward.

As a Landscape Maintenance Foreman , you’ll lead a dedicated crew while working closely with the Maintenance Field Manager. You’ll be hands‑on in the field, guiding your team, ensuring quality work, and helping bring divisional goals to life — all while enjoying the outdoors.

  • Secondary school completion (asset); horticulture education (asset)
  • Industry certifications (Red Seal, CLT, Pesticide Applicator) an asset
  • Safety certifications (OFA Level 1, Fall Protection) an asset
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license (required)
Experience & Skills
  • 2+ years in landscaping or equivalent education

Physical Requirements

This is a 100% labour-based role requiring lifting 50+ lbs and repetitive bending, crouching, twisting, and standing or walking for extended periods.

Work Environment

Your office is outdoors — rain or shine. Shifts are 4 x 10-hour days , giving you a 3-day weekend. Dress for the weather and embrace the elements.

This role runs spring through October or November.
