Job Title: Food Service Supervisor - Part-time

Location: Cornwall, at Southbridge Cornwall

Duration: Permanent, part-time (22.5 hrs/week) with flexibility for every second weekend and additional evening shifts.

Southbridge Care Homes are expanding their Food Services department. We are seeking a Food Services Supervisor to join our enthusiastic team at Southbridge Cornwall.

Reporting to the Food Service Manager, the Food Services Supervisor will ensure the smooth operation of all food service activities, meet residents' nutritional needs, and oversee inventory management, meal planning, human resources, kitchen operations, and clinical nutrition.

Responsibilities

1. Plan, organize, and deliver high-quality dietary services for residents.
2. Implement continuous quality improvement principles, best practices, and ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
3. Select, supervise, and motivate dietary staff, fostering teamwork and productivity.
4. Ensure all food preparation, service, and storage areas meet Public Health standards.
5. Maintain records according to policies, procedures, and legislation, including menus.
6. Consult with residents, families, staff, and professionals regarding care and department activities.
7. Participate in budgeting and manage food and supplies budget.
8. Complete clinical/PCC documentation for residents as assigned.
9. Maintain accurate menus and records in MealSuite.

Qualifications

• Current membership in the Canadian Society of Nutritional Management (C.S.N.M.) or registration as a Dietitian.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
• Experience managing unionized employees is an asset.
• Experience with PCC and MealSuite is an asset.
• Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety legislation.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Customer-focused with strong relationship-building skills.
