Position Overview

We’re seeking a reliable Food Service Supervisor to oversee team activities during shifts, ensuring high standards of customer service, product quality, cleanliness, and performance. You will lead by example, guiding your team to deliver excellent guest experiences in a fast-paced setting, driving customer satisfaction, maximizing efficiency, and maintaining a positive atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead by example to prioritize customer satisfaction and reinforce positive behaviors in employees.
  2. Respond promptly and courteously to customers, resolving complaints to ensure positive outcomes.
  3. Conduct regular store walk-throughs to ensure smooth operations and maintain stock levels for displays, showcases, and paper products.
  4. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store interior and exterior throughout the shift, ensuring all food safety standards are met.
  5. Address immediate issues promptly and provide clear instructions to employees for efficient operations.
  6. Foster a motivating work environment that encourages goal achievement and engagement.
  7. Report employee performance, both positive and negative, to the Store Manager.
  8. Ensure adequate employee coverage, especially during peak periods, to maintain service levels.
  9. Address performance issues constructively, focusing on behavior correction and morale.
  10. Understand and adhere to Tim Hortons’ procedures, food safety, security, and relevant regulations.
  11. Manage shift cash procedures, operational efficiency, and utilize tools like positioning charts and pre-rush checklists.
  12. Supervise employees to ensure primary and secondary duties are completed, enforcing store policies on cash handling, meal breaks, and food safety.
  13. Monitor unsafe actions or conditions and report concerns to management.
  14. Complete necessary documentation, including waste records.

Please note that this list is not exhaustive, and additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in fast food or supervisory roles preferred.
  • Additional certifications or knowledge of food safety and First Aid are assets.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and coach employees effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability to work a rotating schedule.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift and carry up to 25 lbs., and perform reaching and bending tasks.
