Job summary

TB Food Services Inc – DBA Tim Hortons in Merritt, BC is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to lead a team in a fast‑paced restaurant. Starts immediately with permanent, full‑time hours and a standard probationary period.

Wage range is $20.15–$21.25 per hour, with evenings, weekends and holidays possible. Responsibilities include supervising staff, ordering ingredients, managing schedules, training on safety, maintaining stock records and ensuring guest satisfaction while upholding brand

Qualifications

• Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent is an asset.
• 1 year of supervisor experience or several years of restaurant experience or college degree / diploma.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team-coaching skills.
• Ability to stay organized and calm in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer and POS knowledge.
• Understanding of food safety and workplace health and safety practices.
• Willingness to stand for long periods and work flexible shifts.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule staff who prepare, portion and serve food.
• Estimate and order ingredients and supplies for meal preparation.
• Establish work schedules and ensure staff follow procedures.
• Maintain records of stock, sales and wastage and report to management.
• Train staff in duties, sanitation and safety procedures.
• Ensure food and service meet quality standards and brand standards.
• Deal with cash and opening/closing procedures with accuracy.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and resolve issues as required.
• Maintain a positive climate among team members.
• May take customer orders and perform Food Counter attendant duties when needed.

Job Duties:

• Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of staff who prepare, portion and serve food to serve to guests.

• Maintain records of stock, sales and wastage and report to management.
• Train staff in job duties, and sanitation and safety procedures and ensure skill transfer to new employees.
• Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards and corporate brand standards.
• Deal with cash, opening and closing procedures with accuracy.
• Ensuring customer satisfaction and resolving issues as required.
• Maintain a climate relationship between team members.
• May have to take customer orders from customers and perform duties of Food Counter attendant when required.

Job Requirements:

• Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent is an asset.
• 1 year of supervisor experience or several years of restaurant experience or College degree /diploma and any restaurant experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team-coaching skills.
• Ability to stay organized and keep calm in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Basic computer and point-of-sale system knowledge is an asset.
• Understanding of food safety, cleanliness, and workplace health and safety practices.
• Willingness to stand for long periods, lift moderate supplies, and work flexible shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
