Overview

Food Distribution Helper and Cook's Helper positions at Correctional Service Canada (CSC) - Ontario Region. Reference number: PEN25J-152696-000039. Selection process number: 2025-PEN-EA-ONT-195100. CSC - Technical Services and Facilities Branch. Locations include Campbellford, Gravenhurst, Kingston, Kitchener, and Eastern Ontario - Other locations.

Positions: Food Distribution Helper (GS-FOS-02) and Cook's Helper (GS-FOS-03).

Key Responsibilities

Food Distribution Helper: clean and maintain food preparation equipment, assist with ordering, receiving, and distributing food products, manage inventory and storeroom security, support Point of Sales (POS) systems, and maintain storage areas. Provide on-the-job safety training, report equipment issues, and adhere to security and fire safety protocols.

Cook\'s Helper: assist in meal preparation, distribution, and short-order cooking, ensure portion control and adherence to recipes. Manage procurement, inventory, and distribution of groceries, maintain kitchen cleanliness and equipment. Train offenders in food service operations, safety protocols, and hygiene practices to enhance employability.
