Job description

SSP Canada operates multiple restaurants inside the Billy Bishop Airport, including: Balzac's Coffee, Obispo, Market 416.

Here are a few things you can expect as a Food Service Associate at SSP Canada:

• Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner
• Process orders and enter them accurately into the POS system
• Receive payment from the customer and process change
• Responsible for set-up, regular maintenance, cleaning, and break-down of machinery and equipment
• Complete opening, on-going, and closing checklists as required

Skills and Other Requirements:

• One year experience working in a food service environment is strongly preferred.
• High school diploma preferred
• Verbal and written communication skills are essential
• Ability to read, speak, and understand English to communicate with guests
• Basic mathematical skills necessary for operating a cash register, making change, totaling guest checks, counting cash, and preparing cash drops
• Food handlers permit is an asset
• Smart Serve Certification is required
• Ability to remember, recite, and promote menu items
• Ability to obtain Transport Canada Security Clearance
