Qualifications

• Preferred high school diploma.
• Fluency in oral and written English and French.
• Experience in problem solving involving customer service.
• Basic math skills for cash register and deposits.
• MAPAQ hygiene and sanitation certificate is an asset.
• Brand certificate, if necessary.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner.
• Process customer orders and enter them into the POS system.
• Receive payment and provide change.
• Handle, store, and rotate products.
• Maintain daily setup including stocking food, paper products, and condiments.
• Manage stock and storage of perishables to ensure quality.
• Complete opening, on-going, and closing checklists.
• Ensure quality of products served.
• Perform cleaning tasks per supervisor instructions to meet health standards.

SSP Canada operates several restaurants throughout the Montreal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport: Our Food Service Cashier prepare, serve, sell, and maintain food/beverage items. This includes, greeting guests, taking orders, preparing orders, and receiving payment. These tasks are to be performed in a timely and professional manner to achieve the highest level of guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner.
• Process customer orders and enter them accurately into the POS system.
• Receive payment from the customer and process change.
• Handles, stores, and rotates all products properly.
• Maintain proper and adequate set-up on a daily basis. This includes stocking of all required food, paper products, and condiments.
• Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storage of all perishables daily to ensure product quality.
• Complete opening, on-going, and closing checklists as required.
• Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of products served.
• Perform general and specific cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards.

Skills and Other Requirements

• Preferred high school diploma.
• Fluency in oral and written English and French. Ability to read, speak and understand both languages to communicate with customers and take orders.
• Experience in problem solving involving customer service.
• Basic math skills necessary to be able to use a cash register, make change, add up customers, account for amounts to be deposited, prepare cash deposits, and add up all other charges.
• Hold the desirable MAPAQ hygiene and sanitation certificate is an asset.
• Brand certificate, if necessary.
• Ability to remember, recite, and promote different menu items.
• Ability to use keyboard and point of sale procedures to pre-check, order and close an addition.
• Ability to work and stand in confined spaces for long periods of time.

This position is located in a secure airport environment, and a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC) is required. All candidates must be legally authorised to work in Canada and must be able to provide the necessary government-issued documentation required for airport security clearance.
