Job summary

SSP Canada at Montreal airport is seeking a Food Service Cashier to greet guests, take orders, and process payments while keeping a clean, organized counter.

You will work in a fast-paced team, handle POS transactions, maintain stock, and ensure food safety standards while delivering friendly service in English and French.

Qualifications

• Preferred high school diploma.
• Fluency in English and French.
• Experience in customer service problem solving.
• Basic math skills for POS transactions.
• MAPAQ hygiene/sanitation certificate is an asset.
• Brand certificate, if necessary.
• Ability to remember and promote menu items.
• Ability to use keyboard and POS procedures.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner.

• Receive payment from the customer and process change.
• Handles, stores, and rotates all products properly.
• Maintain proper and adequate set-up on a daily basis.

SSP Canada operates several restaurants throughout the Montreal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport:OurFood Service Cashierprepare, serve, sell, and maintain food/beverage items. This includes, greeting guests, taking orders,preparing orders, and receiving payment. These tasks are to be performed in a timely and professionalmanner to achieve the highest level of guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner.
• Process customer orders and enter them accurately into the POS system.
• Receive payment from the customer and process change.
• Handles, stores, and rotates all products properly.
• Maintain proper and adequate set-up on a daily basis. This includesstocking of all required food, paper products, and condiments.
• Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storage of all perishables daily to ensure product quality.
• Complete opening, on-going, and closing checklists as required.
• Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of products served.
• Perform general and specific cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhereto health standards.

Skills and Other Requirements

• Preferred high school diploma.
• Fluency in oral and written English and French. Ability to read, speak and understand both languages to communicate with customers and take orders.
• Experience in problem solving involving customer service.
• Basic math skills necessary to be able to use a cash register, make change, add up customers, account for amounts to be deposited, prepare cash deposits, and add up all other charges.
• Hold the desirable MAPAQ hygiene and sanitation certificate is an asset.
• Brand certificate, if necessary.
• Ability to remember, recite, and promote different menu items.
• Ability to use keyboard and point of sale procedures to pre-check, order and close an addition.
• Ability to work and stand in confined spaces for long periods of time.
