SSP Canada, operating multiple restaurants inside Billy Bishop Airport, seeks a Food Service Associate to deliver top-notch customer experiences. You will greet guests, handle transactions, prepare items safely, restock supplies, and maintain a clean, welcoming dining area in a fast-paced airport environment.

Requirements include potential one year in food service, strong English communication, and Smart Serve certification.

Qualifications

• One year experience in a food service environment is strongly preferred.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Verbal and written communication is essential.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand English to communicate with guests.
• Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, etc.
• Food handlers permit an asset.
• Smart Serve Certification required.
• Ability to remember, recite, and promote the variety of menu items.
• Ability to obtain Transport Canada Security Clearance.

Responsabilités

• Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner.
• Prepare and assemble food items safely and efficiently.
• Restock food, beverages, cups, lids, condiments, and other supplies as needed.
• Bake cookies and other pastries.
• Process orders and enter them accurately into the POS system.
• Receive payment from the customer and process change.
• Responsible for setup, regular maintenance, cleaning, and breakdown of machinery and equipment.
• Complete opening, ongoing, and closing checklists as required.

The Food Service Associate plays a vital role in delivering excellent customer experiences by efficiently handling transactions, ensuring accurate cash management, serving clients and maintaining a welcoming dining atmosphere, all while upholding company standards and service excellence.

Here are a few things you can expect as a Food Service Associate at SSP Canada:

• Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner
• Prepare and assemble foods items safely and effeciently
• Restock food, beverages, cups, lids, condiments, and other supplies as needed
• Baking cookies and ohters pastries
• Process orders and enter them accurately into the POS system
• Receive payment from the customer and process change
• Responsible for set-up, regular maintenance, cleaning, and break-down of any machinery and equipment
• Complete opening, on-going, and closing checklists as required

Skills and Other Requirements:
