C.H. Guenther & Son is seeking a Production Operator in Nova Scotia to support efficient, safe manufacturing of food products. You will operate and set up production equipment, monitor processes, and maintain sanitation and records in a fast-paced plant environment.

The role emphasizes adherence to SOPs, GMPs, and OSHA-like safety practices, with emphasis on teamwork, quality control, and continuous improvement in production efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; vocational training in food production is a plus.
• Experience in food manufacturing or similar production environment preferred.
• Ability to read safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery and equipment (mixers, ovens, filling, packaging).
• Set up machinery per production specs and ensure proper functioning.
• Monitor operation and troubleshoot issues to maintain flow.
• Conduct quality checks on materials and finished goods per SOPs and GMPs.
• Maintain sanitation and follow cleaning procedures; prevent contamination.
• Adhere to safety protocols, PPE use, and report hazards promptly.
• Record production logs and assist with inventory tasks in the reporting system.
• Collaborate with supervisors, technicians, and QC staff; communicate issues.
• Overtime and non-standard hours as needed.
