Job summary

Riverside Natural Foods Ltd. in Canada is seeking a Manufacturing Technical Operator to join our food production team. You will operate, maintain and troubleshoot production machinery on a fast-paced line, ensuring product quality and minimizing downtime.

This role requires hands-on mechanical skills, ability to work shifts including nights and weekends, and a commitment to GMP. Join our values-led team and help us grow while delivering safe, great-tasting snacks such as MadeGood.

Qualifications

• Technical/vocational training or equivalent.
• 1-3 years’ experience in manufacturing or production.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot machinery.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good communication skills and teamwork.
• Able to lift above 20 kg and stand for long periods.
• Willingness to work shifts including nights, weekends, and overtime.
• Exposure to lean manufacturing, 5S, or Kaizen is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor automated or semi-automated production machinery per SOPs.
• Set up equipment, calibration and changeovers.
• Perform in-process quality checks and ensure specs.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate with maintenance.
• Carry out routine cleaning and maintenance to prevent downtime.
• Conduct pre-operation checks to ensure equipment functionality.
• Complete production logs and downtime reports accurately.
• Collaborate with maintenance and engineering to resolve issues.
• Follow GMP and safety standards at all times.
• Support continuous improvement and cost-saving efforts.
• Participate in shift handovers and team briefings.
• Train new or temporary staff on equipment operation.
• Participate in RCA and corrective actions when problems occur.
