Job summary

Lethbridge Polytechnic is seeking an entry-level food service team member to work on-site and support daily kitchen operations. The role requires no prior degree and offers on-the-job training to get you up to speed with food preparation, serving customers, and keeping the service area organized.

The position involves handling take-out packaging, portioning, stocking, and assisting with basic food items while ensuring a clean and welcoming counter experience for guests.

Qualifications

• No degree is required; on-the-job training will be provided.
• No prior experience required; training will be given.

Responsibilities

• Keep records of the quantities of food used.
• Package take-out food.
• Portion and wrap foods.
• Prepare, heat and finish simple food items.
• Serve customers at counters or buffet tables.
• Stock refrigerators and salad bars.
• Take customers' orders.
• Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice and trim foodstuffs.
