Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, and load busspans and trays to ensure a steady turnover of clean tableware and utensils during high-volume service periods.
• Organize and restock cleaned dishes, glassware, and cookware in designated storage areas.
• Wash and sanitize delicate items and heavy-duty pots and pans by hand following safety protocols.
• Deep-clean and disinfect all kitchen workstations and storage areas to prevent cross-contamination and maintain a hygienic environment.
• Maintain and sanitize kitchen appliances and heavy equipment.
• Remove garbage, grease, and recyclables; keep waste area clean and pest-free.
• Sharpen knives to ensure precision and safe operation for the prep team.
• Sweep, mop, and polish kitchen floors to eliminate spills and hazards.
• Assist with basic food prep including washing, peeling, and precision-cutting fruits and vegetables.

This position will be Full-Time and Permanent, and the work location will be 864 Heritage Blvd W, Lethbridge, AB T1K 7V5. The wage will be $16.00 per hour with 30-40 hours per week. The overtime pay will be 1.5x the regular rate, beginning at 44 hours of work per week and/or 8 hours per day.

Job Description:

• Collect, sort, and load busspans and trays to ensure a steady turnover of clean tableware and utensils during high-volume service periods.
• Organize and restock cleaned dishes, glassware, and cookware in designated storage areas, maintaining an orderly system for easy retrieval by the culinary team.
• Thoroughly wash and sanitize delicate items, heavy-duty pots, and pans by hand, strictly adhering to food safety and hygiene protocols.
• Deep-clean and disinfect all kitchen workstations, including cupboards, storage racks, and prep surfaces, to prevent cross-contamination and maintain a sterile environment.
• Maintain and sanitize kitchen appliances and heavy equipment, ensuring all machinery is free of debris and operating in a hygienic condition.
• Promptly remove kitchen garbage, grease, and recyclables, ensuring that waste bins are sanitized and the disposal area remains clean and pest-free.
• Sharpen kitchen knives using appropriate tools to ensure cutting precision and operational safety for the prep team.
• Maintain floor clean by consistently sweeping, mopping, and polishing kitchen floors to remove spills, grease, and hazards.
• Perform essential food prep duties, including washing, peeling, and precision-cutting fruits and vegetables to support the coook.
