Join the Food &Beverage team at the Royal Glenora Club, a premier private recreation andsocial club located in Edmonton's river valley. We are looking for friendly,dependable, and energetic individuals who enjoy working with people and beingpart of a team.
This posting is for a variety of Food & Beveragepositions, which may include Café Attendant, Serving Assistant, FoodRunner/Expeditor, Bartender and other service support roles. Placement will be based onexperience, availability, and operational needs.
What You'll Do
Depending on theposition and area you are working in, responsibilities may include:
- Welcome Members and guests ina friendly and professional manner.
- Assist with food and beverageservice in our cafés, dining areas, and other Club outlets.
- Take orders and processpayments using the point-of-sale system.
- Prepare and serve coffee,tea, cold beverages, and basic food items.
- Run food and beverages fromthe kitchen to service areas and assist with ensuring orders are accurateand presented properly.
- Support servers and otherFood & Beverage team members during service.
- Set, clear, clean, and resettables and service areas.
- Stock and replenish food,beverages, supplies, and service stations.
- Assist with dishwashing andgeneral cleaning duties as required.
- Maintain clean, organized,and sanitary work and service areas.
- Follow food safety,sanitation, and Club service standards.
- Work cooperatively with teammembers to provide an excellent Member experience.
- Perform other Food &Beverage duties as required based on operational needs.
- Demonstrate the RGC CoreValues and Code of Conduct through professional, respectful, and ethicalconduct.
What We're Looking For
- Previous restaurant, café,hospitality, or customer service experience is an asset, but not required.
- A positive attitude andwillingness to learn.
- Strong customer service and professionalcommunication skills.
- Dependable, punctual, andable to work effectively as part of a team.
- Comfortable working in abusy, fast-paced environment.
- Able to take direction, showinitiative, and assist wherever needed.
- Basic understanding ofcleanliness, sanitation, and food safety practices.
- Proserve certification isrequired for positions that involve serving alcohol.
- Must be able to stand forextended periods and perform physical duties including bending, carrying,pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Availability to work avariety of consistent shifts, which may include days, evenings, weekends, andholidays.
