Job description

Food & Beverage Supervisor (Evening)

We are currently hiring for a Food & Beverage Supervisor (Evening) to provide evening supervision in our Skal Restaurant. The Food & Beverage Supervisor is a detail-oriented leader focused on providing outstanding guest experiences and exceptional guest service in the Food & Beverage outlets and in banquets as required. This role involves working closely with the Food and Beverage team to ensure a successful experience for our guests. The supervisor leads the team in executing service while maintaining high standards of quality and service.

This position requires an energetic, self-motivated, and detail-oriented leader with a passion for going above and beyond to deliver outstanding experiences. The supervisor inspires team members, leads by example, and aims to develop a highly motivated, committed team. They are a role model, exhibiting Silver Hotel Group's values, and contribute to the efficient operation of the restaurant, supervising F&B operations including outlets and banquets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized and exceptional guest service
  • Direct and coordinate the Skal restaurant team members
  • Build guest relations and network to promote hotel outlets
  • Conduct quality control inspections and ensure service standards
  • Assist with banquets as needed
  • Work closely with staff to ensure meeting and event details are executed
  • Maintain inventories and requisition necessary products
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety policies
  • Facilitate meetings with employees and management
  • Maximize seating occupancy and overall covers while maintaining quality
  • Coach, motivate, and support team members daily
  • Ensure adherence to hotel policies and standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in Food and Beverage, Hospitality, or Culinary fields preferred
  • Experience with menu costing and food & beverage cost controls
  • Established relationships with local suppliers an asset
  • Experience in a unionized environment preferred
  • Strong menu and service design skills
  • Leadership style focused on training and motivating teams
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and focus on fiscal results
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Teamwork and collaborative skills across departments
