We are looking for a Food & Beverage Manager to join our team!

Job Description

As a Food & Beverage Manager, you will lead your team in exceeding guest expectations and creating lasting positive impressions on each guest. You are your team\'s leader, teacher, and role model, and you will strive for excellence by guiding and coaching your people to make business decisions aligned with the highest standards in guest service while delivering against key financial goals and performance metrics for the department. You will deliver leadership through orientation, training, performance management, and communication processes.

Responsibilities
  • Be visible in operations throughout the day, supporting quality first impressions at the Botanicus Kitchen + Bar, IRD, Lobby Lounge and Banquet Areas.
  • Mentor and ensure the team creates “picture-perfect” dining experiences that uphold the highest hospitality and service standards.
  • Mentor the team to anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly, and warmly welcome all guests.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships and communication with all departments and team members, supporting the hotel and each team within it to reach their goals.
  • Provide the Food & Beverage team with resources, direction, coaching, and feedback for continuous development, including conducting performance feedback conversations.
  • Provide supplemental training for front-of-house staff on brand-related processes and service standards with a focus on delivering consistent guest service quality.
  • Manage and monitor the activities of the Food & Beverage service teams, ensuring adherence to operational procedures, Brand Standards (BSA), occupational health and safety standards, liquor and VLT laws, and hotel policies.
  • Operate within budgeted parameters and provide commentary on performance on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis; make necessary changes to meet budgeted demands.
  • Actively plan and execute Food & Beverage promotions and contribute to long-term strategic initiatives.
  • Execute assigned deliverables with minimal need for follow-up in terms of timeliness, scope, and quality.
Qualifications
  • Post-Secondary Diploma or Bachelor\'s Degree in a relevant field is an asset.
  • Minimum 5 years in Hospitality Food & Beverage is required.
  • Minimum 3 years in a leadership role in Food & Beverage is required.
  • Food Safety and Pro Serve Certification are required.
  • A wine education certificate is considered an asset.
  • Extensive knowledge of all areas of Food & Beverage service.
  • Proficient in English.
  • Tech-savvy.

Working Conditions

This position may involve long days and/or weekends to meet periodic business demands or deadlines. It is a fast-paced role that requires continuous physical movement and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities. The role may require periods of independent work and the ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
