  • Manage the guest reservation system and seating.
  • Payroll management during slow times.
  • Greet guests and assist seating.
  • Check tables for guest satisfaction and handle complaints.
  • On Duty (MOD) and opening/closing procedures.
  • Ensure side work is completed and supplies stocked; report shortages.
  • Train new hires on service standards, menu items, POS, upsell.
  • Train staff to run the bar and make drinks.
  • Ongoing training and willingness to help during service.

Coast Canmore Hotel & Conference Centre is located in central Canmore.

We are seeking a Full-time Food and Beverage Supervisor - AM/PM Shift.

We don't have an approved LMIA for this position. The position is available for applicants with a valid work status in Canada & We can support Francophone Mobility program

Job Overview

The position is for Table food + drink front of house supervisor position. A Restaurant Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and supporting the restaurant team. They supervise staff, manage shifts, handle customer concerns, and ensure smooth service. Their role includes monitoring food quality, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Additionally, they assist with training, scheduling, and inventory control while fostering a positive work environment. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.

Reporting

The Food and Beverage Supervisors will report to the Restaurant Manager.

Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience in restaurant supervision or a similar leadership role in the hospitality industry.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead, motivate, and train staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Customer Service: Strong focus on guest satisfaction and handling customer concerns professionally.

  • Teamwork: Ability to collaborate with different departments for seamless service.
Duties
  • Anticipate needs and ensure that service meets/exceeds expectations to ensure a memorable and pleasant dining experience.
  • Maintain communication with and support the Restaurant Manager/ F&B Manager.
  • Inspect restaurant, table settings, chairs, floors, proper maintenance, cleanliness and safety.
  • Take immediate action to correct any issues.
  • Manage the guest reservation system and set out sections for all areas including the Restaurant, Patio and Lounge.
  • Managing payroll by cutting staff during slow times.
  • Receive and greet guests; assist with seating.
  • Check tables throughout service times for guest satisfaction, resolve guest Complaints should arise
  • On Duty (MOD) and handle opening or closing procedures.
  • Ensure side work is completed every day and restaurant supplies are stocked. Reports supply shortages to the Manager.
  • Train new-hires in service standards, menu items, use of POS system and up- selling.
  • Train new hires on how to run the bar & make all drinks.
  • Train staff on a continuous basis after they have completed their training period.
  • Willing to step in and assist with service, including taking tables when needed, to ensure smooth operations.
