Job summary

Cineplex is seeking a supervisory professional to manage Groups & Events and oversee guest services across the Rec Room venue. You will ensure smooth operation of games, coat check and retail while achieving sales targets within budget and maintaining compliance with health and liquor regulations.

You will train staff across multiple areas, monitor payroll and attendance, and drive guest satisfaction through effective leadership and communication.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years supervisory experience in food service, retail or amusement industries.
• Ability to work flexible shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Excellent leadership, communication, customer service, conflict resolution and interpersonal skills.
• Strong knowledge of restaurant industry principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
• Provincially applicable sell, sale, and handling of alcohol certificate.

Responsibilities

• Execute Groups & Events within the venue with seamless guest service.
• Maintain operation of games, coat check and retail in Rec Room; provide feedback to improve guest service.
• Strive to meet sales targets within the established budget during daily operations.
• Complete daily, weekly, monthly checklists according to internal and regulatory requirements.
• Deliver employee training and development for areas like Bar, Service Floor, Host/Call Center, Amusement, Event Groups/Live Entertainment.
• Ensure gaming initiatives are executed to drive financial performance while controlling costs.
• Maintain payroll and attendance records per legislative and Rec Room requirements.
• Follow provincial Health, Food Safety and Liquor service regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

What you will do:

• Responsible for executing Groups & Events within venue, providing seamless guest service.
• Responsible for maintaining the seamless operation of all games, coat check and retail operation within the Rec Room and providing feedback to the employees and Service Manager to improve the Guest Service experience.
• Strive to achieve sales targets while adhering to an established budget during day-to-day operations.
• Complete all daily, weekly, monthly checklists and according to internal and external (regulatory bodies) requirements.
• Deliver employee training and development for assigned area of responsibility (Bar, Service Floor, Host/Call Center, Amusement, Event Groups / Live Entertainment).
• Ensure gaming initiatives are executed accordingly to drive financial performance while keeping costs in line.
• Maintain payroll and attendance records in accordance with legislative and the Rec Room requirements.
• Follow all provincial Health, Food Safety and Liquor service legislative requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• You have 1-3 years of supervisory experience in the food service, retail and / or amusement industry. Training experience will be considered an asset.
• You are able to work flexible shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays, as required.
• You have excellent leadership, communication, customer service, conflict resolution and interpersonal skills.
• You have a strong working knowledge of restaurant industry principles, methods, practices, and techniques
• Provincially applicable sell, sale, and handling of alcohol certificate.
