Job summary

The Rec Room at Cineplex is seeking an Hourly Restaurant Amusement Service Supervisor to lead teams across bars, service floors, hosts, and event groups. You will drive guest satisfaction, manage gameplay operations, and help meet sales targets while ensuring compliance with health and liquor regulations.

You will coach staff, complete required checklists, and work flexible shifts including weekends. Salary in the CAD range reflects hourly compensation and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of supervisory experience in food service, retail or amusement.
• Flexible shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Excellent leadership, communication, customer service and conflict resolution skills.
• Strong knowledge of restaurant principles and liquor service requirements.

Responsibilities

• Execute Groups & Events within the venue, ensuring seamless guest service.
• Maintain operations of games, coat check and retail while guiding staff to improve guest experience.
• Aim for sales targets within the established budget during daily operations.
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly checklists per internal and regulatory requirements.
• Provide training and development for assigned areas (Bar, Service Floor, Host/Call Center, Amusement, Events).
• Ensure gaming initiatives drive financial performance while controlling costs.
• Maintain payroll and attendance records in compliance with laws and Rec Room policies.
• Adhere to provincial health, food safety and liquor service requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What you will do:The Rec Room’s Hourly Restaurant Amusement Service Supervisors are an integral part of the team who provide an exceptional gaming experience to each and every guest. Our amusement staff members are passionate about gaming and entertainment and look to bring their experience towards providing an exciting and engaging environment.Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:· Responsible for executing Groups & Events within venue, providing seamless guest service.· Responsible for maintaining the seamless operation of all games, coat check and retail operation within the Rec Room and providing feedback to the employees and Service Manager to improve the Guest Service experience.· Strive to achieve sales targets while adhering to an established budget during day-to-day operations.· Complete all daily, weekly, monthly checklists and according to internal and external (regulatory bodies) requirements.· Deliver employee training and development for assigned area of responsibility (Bar, Service Floor, Host/Call Center, Amusement, Event Groups / Live Entertainment).· Ensure gaming initiatives are executed accordingly to drive financial performance while keeping costs in line.· Maintain payroll and attendance records in accordance with legislative and the Rec Room requirements.· Follow all provincial Health, Food Safety and Liquor service legislative requirements.· Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:The Rec Room may be a perfect fit for you if:· You have 1-3 years of supervisory experience in the food service, retail and / or amusement industry.
