Job summary

LifeLabs Medical Laboratory Services is seeking a Lab Patient Technician to support specimen collection and processing across multiple Windsor-area facilities. You will greet patients, perform phlebotomies, ECG tracings, and other collections while ensuring test protocols are followed and documentation is complete.

The role emphasizes patient care, privacy, teamwork, and adaptability. Flexible part-time float shifts are available, with training and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience is an asset.
• ECG training or experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Greet and inform patients about the specimen collection process and ensure test protocol is followed.
• Perform phlebotomies, connect/disconnect holter monitors, and perform ECG tracings.
• Conduct special test collections and complete related documentation.
• Maintain client relationships and respond to inquiries.
• Enter patient demographics and requisition information accurately.
• Prepare specimens for transportation and testing.
