Job summary

Summit Air, headquartered in Yellowknife, NWT, seeks Flight Attendants to join our Vancouver, BC team. You will ensure passenger safety and comfort, provide outstanding service, assist in emergencies, and uphold all safety regulations during flight.

Initial training is in Calgary, AB, with 24/7 availability during the week. A Transport Canada security clearance may be required, and prior FA experience is an asset but not required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years customer service experience.
  • Previous Flight Attendant experience an asset but not required.
  • Must stay current and trained on relevant aircraft.
  • Able to obtain a Transport Canada security clearance.
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces.
  • Comfortable working at high altitudes in a pressurized cabin.

Responsibilities

  • Safety: Ensure the safety of passengers, crew, and aircraft through adherence to policies and regulations.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Welcome passengers, assist with seating, serve meals/beverages, and maintain cabin cleanliness.
  • Reporting: Complete safety reports and keep aircraft orderly to support on-time departures.

As a Flight Attendant you are responsible for ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers during their flight. Flight Attendants provide exceptional customer service, assist passengers during emergencies, and ensure all safety regulations are followed.

We’re growing and are seeking experienced Flight Attendants to join our team in Vancouver, BC.

Responsibilities
  • Safety:
  • Ensure the safety of passengers, crew, and aircraft through adherence to Company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct pre-flight safety checks and demonstrate safety procedures
  • Monitor cabin for signs of distress
  • Assist passengers during emergency situations such as evacuations or medical emergencies
  • Customer Service Excellence:
  • Welcoming passengers and engaging with them throughout the flight to create a comfortable, friendly environment.
  • Assisting with seating
  • Serve food and beverages
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the cabin
  • Ensure adequate commissary stock items are available onboard for the next shift/flight
  • Reporting:
  • Completing and submitting required safety reports. (i.e., SMS reports)
  • Ensuring the general orderliness of the aircraft and assisting in the on-time departure of every flight operated.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years customer service experience

Working Conditions
  • Initial three to four weeks training in Calgary, AB
  • 24/7 availability during the week
