Job summary

Indigo Park Canada is seeking an Enforcement Officer for the VIA Rail Station in Belleville, Ontario. This flexible part-time role includes one hour of enforcement per day, five days per week (5 hours weekly).

Responsibilities include patrolling by vehicle, issuing warnings, and coordinating tow for violators using an LPR system. Ideal candidates are independent, reliable, and customer-focused with a valid Ontario driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Cautious and courteous driver, with a valid full provincial driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Confidence in problem solving and ability to manage stressful situations.
• Ability to clearly and accurately communicate both written and verbally.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Patrol an assigned area by vehicle.
• Issue warnings and quotes for illegally parked vehicles (using LPR vehicle system).
• Identify vehicles in violation of parking codes.
• Arrange for towing of illegally parked or abandoned vehicles; direct tow-truck drivers.
• Observe and report hazardous conditions such as faulty signage.
• Prepare and maintain records of parking enforcement and quotations.
• Maintain equipment and supplies (handheld devices, quote books).
• Provide information to the public regarding regulations and facilities.
• Inform the public about policies, services or procedures.
• Identify stolen or counterfeit parking permits.
