City of North Bay is seeking a fully qualified Certified Truck and Coach Technician under the Fleet Supervisor. You will maintain and complete manuals and computerized repair records, perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and comply with provincial safety regulations.
The role offers an up-to-24-hour flexible schedule per week, hourly rates starting at CAD 39.09 and increasing with union-negotiated raises, plus tool, footwear and clothing allowances. OMERS pension available.

Under the direction of the Fleet Supervisor or designate, you will carry out all the functions of a fully qualified Certified Truck and Coach Technician. You will maintain and complete manual and computerized records of repairs as required using our Fleet Management System. You will carry out preventive maintenance, diagnostic investigations, mandatory and statutory maintenance and repair while complying with current Provincial safety legislations.
Hours of Work:
Up to 24 hours flexible schedule per week which can include day, evening and weekend shifts.
Hourly Rate:
Our Total Compensation plan for 2025 includes rates that start at $39.09/hour up to $43.34/hour including shift premiums plus Union negotiated increases to base wage in each of the following years:
2027-3.5%
2028-3.5%
8% in lieu of benefits
Annual Tool Allowance value of up-to $820 Annual Safety Footwear Allowance value of $235
Annual Clothing Allowance value of $270 plus three (3) changes of coveralls weekly
