The City of Pitt Meadows is looking for a proactive, experienced Fleet Supervisor to lead, direct, and maintain the City’s diverse municipal fleet and equipment. Reporting to the Manager and Assistant Manager of Operations, this position provides strategic oversight of the fleet and Shop, development and support of long-term operating and preventative maintenance plans, fleet and equipment procurement and disposal, supervision of skilled trades staff, and administration of regulatory compliance programs. They will also support Public Works operations and the maintenance of the City’s emergency vehicles.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative, creative, and knowledgeable leader who is committed to excellent service delivery. They will have a strong ability to plan, troubleshoot, and implement decisions while ensuring regulatory compliance. As this role works under minimal supervision, the successful candidate is driven to excel by being proactive and communicative.
Regular working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm, with a 40-hour workweek. However, participation in our Earned Day Off program may be considered. Depending on operational needs, there may also be opportunities for scheduled overtime.
