Job summary

Mainroad Lower Mainland Contracting LP in Surrey, BC is seeking an experienced Fleet Operations Manager to lead strategic fleet decisions across BC and Alberta. The role will base out of Surrey, Red Deer, or Calgary, and reports to the OnTime Sales & Leasing leadership.

You will manage Regional Equipment Managers, drive analytics, KPI development, and drive cost control while ensuring compliance and readiness.

Qualifications

7-10+ years progressive experience in fleet management in highway maintenance or construction sectors.
Experience supporting multiple locations or decentralized organizations.
Strong knowledge of NSC, CVIP, provincial inspections, licensing, registration, insurance and OHS in BC/AB.
Strong analytical and financial skills including fleet cost analysis and lifecycle costing.
Experience with Power BI or similar reporting/analytics tools.

Responsibilities

Set the Fleet Strategy with governance, reporting and performance expectations.
Turn data into decisions using fleet cost and performance analysis; develop KPIs and insights.
Champion compliance and safety with NSC, CVIP, licensing, insurance, and audits.
Make systems work smarter by standardizing processes and improving data quality and uptime.
Lead and mentor Regional Equipment Managers across BC and Alberta; collaborate with General Managers and operations.
