Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of truck parts.
• Strong computer skills in MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook).
• Valid G Driver’s Licence.
• Physically handle and transport parts up to 50 lbs.
• Flexible to weekend/holiday work when required.

Responsibilities

• Purchase truck parts, supplies, and maintenance services based on fleet requirements for the Durham Shop.
• Request and compare quotes to ensure competitive pricing and on-time delivery.
• Create and process purchase orders using fleet management software; verify order accuracy and charge parts to appropriate work orders.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels through cycle counts, audits, and Min/Max tracking.
• Proactively reorder inventory to prevent stockouts.
• Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and recommend adjustments or disposal.
• Coordinate vendor returns, core exchanges, and manufacturer warranty claims, including tracking, monitoring, and credits.
• Operate forklift to load and unload delivery trucks.
• Maintain clear written communication with technicians and team members.
