Job summary

Lake Louise Ski Resort is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team and ensure the safe, reliable operation of the resort’s fleet. You will supervise journeypersons and apprentices, plan maintenance, and coordinate repairs for heavy and light equipment across the season.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong diagnostic skills, and a commitment to safety. This is a full-time on-site position at Lake Louise, Alberta, with benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years supervisory or mechanical leadership experience.
• Experience with diesel engines, hydraulics and electrical systems.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Valid police background check required upon commencement.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, schedule and support journeyperson and apprentice mechanics.
• Assign and prioritize daily maintenance and repair activities.
• Provide technical direction, coaching and training to maintenance staff.
• Oversee preventive maintenance, inspections, repairs and seasonal fleet prep.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and diesel problems.
• Complete hands-on repairs and maintenance as required.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergencies.
• Monitor equipment condition and identify reliability improvements.
• Coordinate major repairs, rebuilds and outside contractors.
• Maintain work orders, inspection records and maintenance histories.
• Use CMMS to plan, assign and track maintenance.
• Work with Maintenance Manager on fleet planning and replacement.
• Promote safety, workmanship and housekeeping.
• Collaborate with Lift, Grooming, Operations, Transportation, Facilities and other departments.
