Job summary

Maxim Truck & Trailer is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Advisor to manage the preventative maintenance program and serve as the main point of contact for customers. You will oversee unit intake, coordinate invoices, and ensure cost-efficient maintenance while preserving long-term customer relationships.

Key duties include scheduling maintenance, coordinating shop repairs, reviewing repair orders for invoicing, and maintaining regular customer communication.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of frontline customer service experience.
• Strong numbers aptitude and invoicing knowledge.

• Experience in a fleet/heavy-truck environment preferred.

Responsibilities

Description

Are you a motivated individual with strong customer service skills? Do you have an aptitude for numbers with knowledge of invoicing? If so, this may be a great fit for you! We are looking for a new Fleet Maintenance Advisor to join our team! In this position you will oversee all fleet preventative maintenance and more, from initial unit intake to creating the invoice. You will ensure Maxim’s equipment is maintained in a cost efficient manner while sustaining long‑term customer relationships.

What will your responsibilities be?

• Manage Preventative Maintenance and Safety Schedule via arranging appointments, tracking compliance and communicating with customers
• Schedules Rental and leasing unit repairs into shop and arranges sublet repairs
• Reviews Repair Orders for Invoicing – issues Purchase Orders
• Maintains ongoing communication and relationship with customers via regular updates and meetings
• Other duties as assigned

What do you need to succeed in this position?

• 2+ years of frontline customer service experience
• Solid understanding of debits/credits and invoicing
• Experience in a fleet environment preferred
• Experience in the heavy-duty truck/trailer industry ( or a related industry) is preferred
• Team player with a strong commitment to the customer
• Effective communication skills with a high level of professionalism
• Excellent fact finding and analytical skills
• Ability to organize, set priorities, and meet deadlines
• Attentive to detail, strong aptitude for numbers
• Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Word, Excel, email, internet)
• Accurate keyboarding and data entry
• Knowledge of Karmak preferred. Exposure to a similar billing system an asset.

Hours

• Monday to Friday, with a rotating weekend shift pattern
• Training hours are: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM for approximately 6 weeks
