Job summary

Onion Lake Health Board Inc. is seeking a Fleet & Asset Maintenance Coordinator to oversee procurement, servicing, operation and repair of vehicles and outdoor assets.

The role coordinates daily fleet use, maintains replacement lists with timelines and budgets, and develops cost-effective asset management strategies with the Healing & Wellness team. The coordinator analyzes mechanical issues, troubleshoots, and performs preventive maintenance within the scope of non-certified mechanic work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED with maintenance coordination experience.
• College/vocational or technical training desirable.
• Experience with routine maintenance operations.
• Proven mechanical abilities in small engine repairs.
• Involvement in researching, comparing, and purchasing vehicles, equipment and supplies is desirable.
• Minimum 1 year experience in operation and maintenance of buildings.
• Ability to understand and communicate detailed instructions, orally and in writing.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multi-task and establish priorities.
• Ability to follow through on overlapping projects and exhibit initiative and leadership.
• Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise cost control measures.

• Meticulous records maintenance skills.
• First Aid skills and/or certificates are assets.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and directing procurement, servicing, operation, maintenance and repair of fleet vehicles, outdoor assets and equipment.
• Maintain records related to vehicles, maintenance, repairs, mileage and depreciation.
• Ensure storage facilities are clean and policies adhered to.
• Coordinate work of service personnel in vehicle repair and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with laws, codes, rules and procedures governing fleet activities.
• Enforce fleet administration standards and vehicle operating policies.
• Prioritize vehicle maintenance, servicing and repair projects.
• Direct off-site maintenance, repair and recovery for roadside incidents.
• Assist with processing of insurance claims involving fleet vehicles.
• Provide emergency and scheduled maintenance for vehicles, assets and facilities.
